I See You
I see you. Maybe it’s 9 a.m., and you’re scrolling this at your desk while juggling emails, meetings, and the buzzing chaos of life. Take three slow, deep breaths. Right now. Yes, even at your desk or while waiting in line. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for 4 seconds, and exhale slowly through your mouth for 4 seconds. Repeat twice more.
It might feel silly at first, but you’re breathing anyway, so why not make it intentional? Stick your phone in your pocket, let the chaos swirl around you for a moment, and just breathe.
Will it magically erase your to-do list or stop your kid’s meltdown? No. But it might help you feel calmer and more grounded—just enough to face the next thing with a little more presence. It also helps you regain control, putting you back in the driver's seat of your mind-body awareness.
And that shift matters.
Over time, these small moments of mindfulness add up. Today, it’s three breaths. Tomorrow, maybe it’s 15 minutes of quiet. Next week, you might even sit and savor your coffee without multitasking.
